I had an HR interview over the phone. The conversation was quite pleasant and straightforward. We discussed my previous experience in detail, as well as my salary expectations. The interviewer also shared some insights about BlackRock and how they operate. Overall, it was a positive experience. Then went through two interview rounds. The first one involved a panel of three programmers. We began by discussing my previous experience, followed by a series of technical questions. They then gave me an assignment, which was more of a logical problem-solving task rather than an algorithm-based one. It took about 15 minutes to complete. Afterward, I waited for over two weeks before receiving feedback that they wanted to move forward with me to the next stage. The second interview was with the team lead, and it wasn't technical at all. It felt more like a casual conversation about my usual work experiences, how I handle difficult situations with team members, and so on. The interviewer reiterated, as in the first round, that they would get back to me with a final decision by the end of the week. However, just like the first round, I've been left waiting, this time for almost three weeks again. While I'm excited about the opportunity, the lack of transparency is frustrating. I think the company could improve its communication. Being upfront about longer waiting times would go a long way in maintaining professionalism and keeping candidates engaged.
